Steel

Melt Shop

Total engineering services are offered for the entire steelmaking process- from the scrap yard to the billet yard. Quad can provide process design that integrates the most suitable complement of machinery to suit the best interest of its clients. These include basic steel making equipment such as electric arc furnaces and billet, bloom and slab casting units.Whether for a green or brownfield site, large or small project, every discipline is covered including civil, mechanical, electrical, utilities, process control, automation and programming.

Bar, Structural & Shape Rolling – Finishing

Quad specializes in all aspects of long product shape rolling of steel from feasibility studies, equipment design & equipment supply through to pass design & training.

Flat Hot & Cold Rolling - Finishing

Engineering Facility Studies

The first step to improving the melting operation is to have a plan based on science and experience, ensuring that the project implementation will be successful and that things will work as planned.

Pass Design

Special bar quality (SBQ) and merchant round, rod, square and hexagonal sections. Structural beam, channel and angle sections (standard, miscellaneous and wide flange).

Process Engineering Studies

Training Programs

Quad has been presenting and continuously improving specialized Operator Roller training since 1985. Courses have been developed to explain what happens in the mill, from an Operator’s perspective.
