Quad can conduct physical modeling of existing designs and of new designs prior to full scale commissioning.

 

Our design process includes:

  • Developing a preliminary design within the limitations of the rolling equipment.
  • Conducting a rolling simulation reviewing motor loads, torque and throughput.
  • Establishing family tree and product flow drawings.
  • Producing detailed pass groove drawings that include expected bar sizes, reduction factors and groove factors.
  • Providing roll barrel drawings.
  • On-site commissioning and start-up support.

 

The design process might also include providing mill setup sheets and where necessary roll stress analysis using FEA.
